Here’s a question: if you ordered something online, gave your card details, and then received nothing by way of confirmation, would you be confused and frustrated? Wondering whether the order will come?

Most people would expectedly say yes.

However, the amount of businesses that don’t have this set up either for orders or for lead generation follow ups has surprised me over the last few years.

The latter of those two is an even bigger issue – if someone has filled in a form to get in touch with you, they should never be made to feel like their enquiry hasn’t been received.
